Akelius AS specialises within the mediation of legal knowledge and we are proud to announce that we celebrated our 10th anniversary in Norway in 2000. We build our applications around highly modern fundamental technology developed within our concern. We are today part of one of the world's largest and leading concerns within electronic publications: – the Dutch concern, Wolters Kluwer. Wolters Kluwer employs over 20.000 people throughout 25 countries with an annual turnover of approx. 33 billion NOK. This secures us a long-term position in the market.

We established the company in Norway in 1990 with our well known tax application software, Akelius Skatt, which quickly dominated the professional market. With solid ownership, talented staff and over 18 000 satisfied customers we are confident that we have the best qualifications to be able to assert ourselves against the competition. We have no desire to compete in the private sector but to concentrate exclusively within the business market. We work closely with our users and the public authorities in the development of our products. What all the software programs have in common is that that they are all extremely easy to learn, using a minimum amount of time to get to know them. Akelius programs are purchased as a subscription which includes updates and unlimited customer support - both technical and professional. All programs are client based.

Our 18.000 users come from amongst companies quoted on the stock exchange, auditing and legal firms, accounting companies, and also smaller and medium sized companies. We have also developed a comprehensive working partnership with a number of colleges and advanced commercial colleges who use our programs as part of their tuition.

We are today a highly qualified and inspired staff of 16 in Norway. We work consciously towards finding the best software solutions for our users and to provide the best possible service. We co-operate with Telenor and can now offer Akelius programs with ASP. With our solutions you can work both faster and more securely.
